EBIM maiden drive on October 30, 2015
Shah Alam, Malaysia – 3 years ago, Sync R&D started working constructively to create a form of fuel-free public transportation– an electric city bus with innovative features at a relevant cost. Today, we are proud to introduce EBIM I, a lightweight composite electric city bus with a 200 km range at 260 kWh battery capacity.
In addition to being built using a Composite Body structure that offers superior impact protection, it also contains an advanced system with a route monitoring digital dashboard, and an efficient battery system with rapid charging capabilities, which help reduce operating and maintenance costs.
EBIM I is currently undergoing analytical and physical tests and simulations. The results will be used as a base for improvement in building the 2nd prototype unit – the EBIM II.
EBIM II will be made to comply with every UNECE regulations outlined for the M3 Class 1 (City Buses Category) by TÜV Rheinland for certification, and adhere to all requirements outlined by the Road Transport Department Malaysia (JPJ) as a compliancy procedure for Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) application.
